The Power of a Protein-filled Breakfast

Every morning we make decisions that affect the rest of the day. We have the opportunity to set a tone, a rhythm, and a standard for all that we plan to accomplish before closing our eyes for the night.
When dawn breaks, will you hit the snooze button to steal an extra five (or twenty) minutes of sleep? Or will you rise early to shower and beat traffic? 
Will you inhale a slice of toast on the way out the door, or will you sit down to a full breakfast planned to fuel and sustain you until lunchtime? Or will you skip breakfast entirely?

When is the best time to work on supporting and strengthening the immune system?

Keep in mind that what you do now will build your resistance for this winter and the long term. I love this quote from our own Dr. Jay: "May you never know the diseases that you may have prevented."

Your daily habits and the nutritional level of your diet and supplements create your body's "protective fort." The longer you wait to build your fort and the more exceptions you permit, the weaker your fort will be. 

If something does bypass your immune fort wall, do not delay in responding with several products to give your body the upper edge. Too often people respond with one or two items at maintenance doses rather than fighting doses, thus prolonging the fight.

Pursuing the Authentic | Living with Purpose

Its been an interesting couple of weeks for me. We just wrapped up a new teaching series, and had in mind, a couple weeks to regroup, and take a much earned vacation. At the same time, my son was starting his 3rd year of Business School.

What made my week interesting? As life can do very clearly if you're listening, a life learning message was revealed in several different forms over the past couple of weeks. All thru conversations and experiences, but very clearly the same very specific message.

Number 1, my wife and I were excited to take a vacation, our one week on Topsail Island each summer is always an enjoyable one. So as we disconnected from work and began to free our minds, it became clear through conversation, that we sensed a change was in store for our lives.
